Welcome to Day 14 of the Next Step Challenge
We’ve reached week 3 and our new theme for the week is PRAYER. Our Big Idea is to
Approach God humbly because he is holy yet confidently because he’s our Father.
Our memory verse this week is Matthew 6:9-13 (The Lord’s Prayer).
This will be a terrific week looking at simple yet essential ways to connect with God through prayer. And at the end of the week, we’ll have a bonus lesson (similar to Day 4), offering another tool for your toolbox.
What’s the Day 14 Challenge?
Pray differently.
That seems odd. What’s that mean? Evaluate your prayer life.
- Are you quick to pray but not slow to think about what you’re praying? Slow down, and pray differently.
- Are you limiting your prayer to specific people or issues of the day? Look around and note who and what you can pray about and pray differently.
- Are you not willing to pray in public? Remember what prayer is and that everyone can do it. Pray differently, or in this case, be ready to pray publicly.
Get ready to grow your prayer life by remembering God’s holiness and love.
