Welcome to Day 15 of the Next Step Challenge
Let’s take a walk. And while the exercise will be valuable, the investment in eternity will pay far larger dividends.
Speaking of eternity, in week one we learned that only three things last for eternity? Remember what they are? (Answer below.)
We’re walking to pray for God’s kingdom to come into our neighborhoods as it is in heaven. It’s called a Prayer Walk, and it has been something that has helped me focus for more extended periods. When I’m alone, I get easily distracted if I’m sitting down to pray. But if I go for a walk, while there are numerous distractions, there are many reminders of what to pray for and who to pray for.
What’s the Day 15 Challenge?
Prayer-walk your neighborhood
But don’t stop there. Learn your neighbors’ names and hobbies and – when appropriate – how you can pray for them.
Want the next step? Invite them to your home. Let your hospitality encourage them as you seek to be a friend and encouragement in their lives.
God has you living where you are for this season of your life for a reason. He wants you to be a blessing in your neighborhood.
Ready? Start by taking a walk. A prayer walk.
