BIG IDEAHumble yourself and obey the Lord.

KEY VERSEZephaniah 2:3 (God to Zephaniah)
Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, you who do what he commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the Lord’s anger.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Take my warnings seriously. Today is the day of salvation. If you are my child, you don’t have to ask me to “save” you again. You are mine! I saved you the moment you cried out to me. But perhaps you have some sin to confess. That’s good—do not sweep that aside. Deal with it quickly. I do not want anything to hinder our relationship. But if you are not sure if you have surrendered, do it today.

I will judge those who mock me or taunt and insult my children. They do these things because of their pride—their foolish pride. They see me as one of many paths to safety, but the gods of this world will be destroyed. In the end, everyone will bow down to me because I created all to worship. I am the one—there is none besides me. Others make the same boast, but trust me and my claim. I love you and want you to follow me.

NEXT STEP
Humble yourself today. Don’t live in rebellion. Humble yourself before God. And be cautious of those with whom you choose to hang out. Is there someone you need to share your faith with today? Is there someone you should stop spending time with?
