KEY VERSEZechariah 9:9 (A prophecy)
Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey— riding on a donkey’s colt.

I have not forgotten you. I know when you are suffering. I am always at work in your life and those around you, so do not be afraid. Life will not always be predictable or turn out the way you desire. But I am predictable. You can count on me. I am also unpredictable. No one knows how I will respond. Even so, I am trustworthy and good, so rest in me and trust me amid confusion.

I rescued Israel, and I will do the same for you. I will appear in a flash. I will shield you from your enemy and destroy those who oppose you. I will summon you from the pit and restore you and refresh your heart, soul, and mind. I will give you strength for a new day and a hunger for righteousness. Look to me for deliverance. Remember who I am and rejoice that I know you and love you.
