OVERVIEW: Zechariah describes how the Lord will strengthen, save, and restore Israel. While human leaders disappoint, God will always care for and provide for his people, for he is a super shepherd.
BIG IDEA: God is our super shepherd.

My anger burns against your shepherds, and I will punish these leaders. For the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has arrived to look after Judah, his flock. He will make them strong and glorious, like a proud warhorse in battle.
IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I am the one who brings the rain when you need it and the sun to warm your body and grow your food. I provide for all people, regardless of what they believe or think about me. So don’t bother looking to another for help or guidance. I am all you need. There is no quick fix—unless I provide it—and there is no guarantee—unless I’ve declared it. Don’t waste your time or money looking for the “sure thing” when I am here before you. Seek me and follow me.
I am angered by those who lead you astray. I have raised men and women to lead with love, care, and integrity, but they fall prey to pride or selfishness or their insecurity. Don’t let that happen to you. I want you to be an influencer in others’ lives. Follow me, and I will show you how. Ultimately, I am the leader you need. I am the ultimate shepherd.
