KEY VERSESong of Solomon 4:9 (the man to the woman)
You have captured my heart, my treasure, my bride. You hold it hostage with one glance of your eyes, with a single jewel of your necklace.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Beauty is indeed fleeting. Physical beauty fades with time, so there is great value in developing the inward beauty of character that does not fade. Godly character increases in its worth and potency as time passes. Still, I have created each person with all kinds of beauty. Do not judge people on their outward appearance. But take joy and delight in the beauty of the one you love. Affirm him or her and point out traits that make you smile and warm your heart.

In the same way, pursue purity at all times. Do not treat others as objects and do not show even a trace of inappropriate behavior. Each person you see is someone I created. Treat each with respect and dignity. Care for them as you would a brother or sister. Replace evil or unhealthy thoughts with prayers of blessing for the person and his or her spouse or future spouse.

NEXT STEP
Set healthy boundaries in your physical relationships with others to honor God and your spouse, future spouse, or—if you don’t plan on getting married—someone else’s future spouse.
