KEY VERSERomans 8:9 (Paul’s reminder)
But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Following Jesus is the best way to live, the only way to experience the full life I created you to live. Follow me by living in the Spirit. My Spirit gives you the power you need to let Christ live through you. Living in the Spirit means daily choosing to center your life around me. Living in the Spirit means using the scriptures to discover who I am and learn the kind of life I want you to live. Living in the Spirit means taking time to consider your choices in life and ask what Jesus is doing.

Living in the Spirit means activating your faith when I lead you. Living in the Spirit means spending time with others who know me and love me. Living in the Spirit means praying, even when you don’t know what words to use. I do not condemn you—nothing can separate you from my love. I am working in every area of your life, the good and the bad, to fulfill my purpose. As you obey me, you will discover peace and joy, and you will live with significance. Let go of living in your strength and live in the Spirit.

NEXT STEP
Do you think living a joyful life of purpose is for everyone but you? Don’t believe that lie. The enemy wants to confuse, distract, and defeat you. Read the promises from Romans 8 in verses 1, 11, 16, 26, 28, 31, 37-39.
