KEY VERSERomans 5:8 (God’s grace)
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I can’t love you any more…or any less than I do right now. It is hard for your mind to comprehend it, but I…love…you. Stop trying to earn my acceptance, my favor, my understanding. You can’t be good enough, or bad enough, to change my love. Accept that I accept you. I understand you better than you do. And I love you completely. When I sent my only son to die for you on the cross, he did so before you could believe and receive, while you were still guilty. In other words, I loved you first.

Human love is finite, conditional, and fickle. But my love is infinite, unconditional, unwavering, fierce, and downright scandalous. If you never do anything right in your life, I still love you. Let my love sustain you in your suffering. Let me give you the strength to persevere. Trust me as I build your character through painful and joyful experiences. I am pouring my love into your heart every day; let it overflow into those around you.

NEXT STEP
What have you done in your life that haunts you and tempts you to feel unworthy of God’s love? Make a list on a piece of paper. When your list is complete, light it on fire and watch it burn. Thank God that, to him, those mistakes never existed. He sees you as blameless. Live today like you are loved because you are!
