OVERVIEW: To effectively reach people with the message and love of Jesus, Paul encourages believers to accept one another and live in unity.

BIG IDEAFocus on loving and serving others.

KEY VERSE: Romans 15:7 (Paul to the church)
Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.

Seek peace with others. If you need to have a difficult discussion with someone to restore unity, do it. If you need to be patient, be patient. If you need to forgive, forgive. If you need forgiveness, ask for it. Let me help you work through problems with those around you. Accept, embrace, and celebrate differences and diversity.

Seeking unity with others isn’t about people-pleasing. Don’t waste your time trying to figure out how to say what you think someone wants to hear so that they like you. Instead, put your energy into being supportive, building others up, and finding common ground, despite differences or disagreements.

People inside and outside the faith are watching you closely, whether you realize it or not. They won’t be impressed by how well you get along with people just like you. But when they see you reaching out and loving those struggling with faith or who think differently, they will realize something unique is happening. Rely on me to help you live in unity with others.

Is there an important relationship in your life that is struggling? What needs to happen to achieve peace in the relationship? Ask God to give you wisdom and the strength to do what is necessary.
