SUMMARY: Two meals
OVERVIEW: There is a celebration meal, the wedding feast of the Lamb, and a judgment meal, the great banquet of God.
BIG IDEA: Worship God for the victory he will bring.

Then I heard again what sounded like the shout of a vast crowd or the roar of mighty ocean waves or the crash of loud thunder: “Praise the Lord! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns. Let us be glad and rejoice, and let us give honor to him. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself.”
IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
A day of praise is coming. The day will arrive where heaven shouts and declares their love and honor for me so all can hear. The joyous roar of the multitudes will sound like mighty ocean waves or crashing thunder. My people will be glad and rejoice when the time comes for the wedding feast of the Lamb—the moment everyone has been waiting for. I will send Jesus to defeat the enemy and his armies and throw them into the fiery lake. Jesus will bring the final victory over evil. Rejoice!
Salvation and glory and power belong to me—today and always. The final day of judgment is coming, but don’t wait to give me praise. I am in control today. My power and authority are the same yesterday, today, and forever. You may be living in times of evil, but I’ve numbered its days. I am sustaining you at this moment, and I will for all eternity. Whether you live to see the defeat of evil on earth, you will live eternally with me. Sing songs of praise for my future judgment. Worship me today. My presence and power are available to you.
NEXT STEP
Cling to the hope of the coming end of evil. When someone treats you unjustly, remember the promises from verses 20-21, where Jesus captures and defeats the enemy. Thank God for his victory. Praise him for his power.
