KEY VERSESRevelation 18:4-5 (Voice to John)
Then I heard another voice calling from heaven, “Come away from her, my people. Do not take part in her sins, or you will be punished with her. For her sins are piled as high as heaven, and God remembers her evil deeds.”

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
You’ve waited a long time for this moment. You’ve wondered for years and asked many times, “How long, O Lord?” The day is coming where I will punish sin and destroy evil. I’ve never ignored you, nor have your questions bothered me. My heart hurt with each act of evil in the world. My anger rose as I saw the innocent suffer. But I continued to wait with hope that the wicked would turn to me and accept my offer of love and forgiveness.

But that time has passed. Remove yourself from the path of evil. Turn and go the other way. Destruction and judgment will be so severe that even those who loved wickedness will weep and acknowledge the extent of my judgment. They will mourn the loss of their pleasure and recognize they chose the wrong course for their lives. But while they weep, heaven will rejoice. Victory over wickedness will be complete, and evil will never rise again.

NEXT STEP
Fight the greed and corruption and pride that will surface today. Recognize it in you and around you. Defeat it by clinging to God and his ways. Review verse 21 to remind yourself what will become of evil.
