Revelation 13:1-18

OVERVIEWTwo beasts will arise, and Satan will give them authority to rule and dominate the earth and its people for 3½ years. Those who came to faith in the previous 3½ years or during this time will have to endure persecution.

BIG IDEAGod remains in control throughout the chaos in the world.

KEY VERSERevelation 13:9–10 (John to the people)
Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand. Anyone who is destined for prison will be taken to prison. Anyone destined to die by the sword will die by the sword. This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently and remain faithful.

I cannot lie and won’t soften it, but there will be a time when evil will reign unchecked for more than three years. It will feel like hell but will be far from it. Hell never ends, but this season will pass. If you are alive during this time, you will wish you weren’t, but don’t lose hope. I am in control. This horror will not last forever. It will end. And when it does, it will begin the process of the total elimination of evil.

Pain and horror may surround you, but my love endures forever. Affliction and temptation may overwhelm you, but my love endures forever. Evil and lies may torment you, but my love endures forever. I have the last word. I have all power. I have all authority. And I hold the keys to eternity. You are my child, and I will protect you forever. Evil may tempt you today, but it has an expiration date. Walk with me. Rest in me. Receive my love. You are mine today and always.

Nothing is so overwhelming that you cannot handle or endure it through Christ. Remind yourself regularly today that although the enemy has a plan for this world, God’s plan is greater. Cling to the truth and hope of God’s love found in today’s music videos.
