The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.”
IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
You do not have to perform to earn my love and protection. Because you love me, I will protect you and provide for you. I want your trust more than the right words or actions. I am confident that if you trust me, if you surrender your life to me, your obedience will follow. But don’t do the right thing hoping it will motivate me to perform a miracle. Do the right thing because you trust me and my way.
I am not a slot machine or a lucky charm, but I am a loving heavenly father. If you come to me and seek shelter, I will be your fortress and your refuge. That does not mean you will never feel or experience pain. Look at the faithful in the Bible—look at my son—so many felt the sting of pain, but they did with the knowledge and confidence that I was with them and that I would not let them experience more than they could bear. I am with you today. Put your trust in me and rest.
