KEY VERSEPsalm 9:9–10
The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I hear your cries. I see your situation. I feel your pain. You are not forgotten. You are not alone. I am with you, even when you’re surrounded by challenging people. Pray for them and let me provide any judgment that is needed. Remember, I love them, too, and I am at work in their lives. That may be hard to believe, but I am. Continue to pray for them and love them—I will give you strength to do that—I know it can be difficult.

Don’t be consumed with them. Focus on giving me thanks—with all your heart. Tell of my wonderful deeds. Sing my praises for I rule the world and will reign forever. Think about that for a moment—that is worthy of your time and attention. Focus on me, who I am, and what I am doing. Let me consume your thoughts. Don’t allow your problems to get in the way. You will find that thinking about me is much more productive.

NEXT STEP
Publicly acknowledge God’s goodness. Tell someone about one thing God has done or is doing in your life.
