Psalm 83

Psalm 83:1-18

SUMMARYTumbleweed

OVERVIEWWhile being confronted by enemies, Asaph prays that God would make them like tumbleweed, like chaff before the wind, so that they will seek God.

BIG IDEAPray for God’s work in the lives of unbelievers.

KEY VERSEPsalm 83:16
Utterly disgrace them until they submit to your name, O Lord.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I hear you. I see you. I am not ignoring you or off in a distant land. I am with you right now and wherever you go. I see those who try to harm you. I see their evil hearts and plans for wickedness. They seek destruction, but I want you to seek their salvation. Imagine how they might use the same energy towards good. Do not give up on them. I have not.

Pray for those who are far from me. I want them to turn to me and surrender their lives. They will be disciplined and receive some of the same pain they’ve shown to others. Pray it wakes them up, that it would be the spark to ignite hope in their hearts. They need a new perspective on life and new vision. I can provide that. Pray their eyes would be open and their hearts would soften so that they respond to me.

NEXT STEP
Who do you know who does not follow Jesus? Pray for them by name. Ask God how you can invest in their lives and take advantage of the opportunities God provides.
