KEY VERSEPsalm 73:16–17
So I tried to understand why the wicked prosper. But what a difficult task it is! Then I went into your sanctuary, O God, and I finally understood the destiny of the wicked.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I know you look at those who are evil and wicked and wonder why they prosper. I know you are confused as to why I have not disciplined them and given the righteous their treasure. You are grieved, and angered, and frustrated by my apparent disinterest. Don’t be fooled. All of it is of great interest to me. I continue to wait for all who are far from me to repent and seek me. Don’t be disillusioned by their prosperity. It may seem they have everything they want but in reality, they are not satisfied. They seek more.

In the end, if they do not turn to me, they do not prosper. Their temporary satisfaction will be a distant memory. Don’t let your heart be hardened. Continue to walk with me. Follow me wherever I lead. I want you to cherish and understand the blessing in obedience. I am a greater prize than any you could seek on earth. A relationship with me cannot be taken from you.

NEXT STEP
Stay close to God, even if you’re frustrated by what’s happening around you. Pray for wisdom on how to respond and do the right thing. Choose to trust God today, even when it’s difficult, despite the challenges or frustrations you face.
