KEY VERSEPsalm 69:5
O God, you know how foolish I am; my sins cannot be hidden from you.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I see you when you are in despair. I hear you when you cry out in pain. Your eyes may grow tired searching for me, and your voice may weaken from calling my name, but you can have confidence that I am with you. I am always here. Even when you can’t see me, fall back into my arms. Even when you can’t hear me, keep listening and renew your hope in me. Regardless of the circumstances, trust me and my way.

Don’t be surprised when you are mocked or ridiculed for following me. In fact, you can expect it. Some people don’t understand or see the value of a relationship with me. They want to be free to live under their own authority, but no one is truly free. Everyone submits to some authority. But you can shout out with thanks that I—your authority—love you, forgive you, and am available to you always. You may have fears and doubts, but you always have me.

NEXT STEP
Speak honestly with God about all that’s going on in your life. Include your doubts and fears. And thank him for his love and forgiveness, even if you have to do so in faith because your doubts feel overwhelming.
