Psalm 67

Psalm 67:1-7

SUMMARYJoyful praise

OVERVIEWA psalm of praise inviting the nations of the world to honor God and thank him for his blessings.

BIG IDEAWe are blessed to be a blessing. We are to praise God and tell others about him.

KEY VERSEPsalm 67:1–2
May God be merciful and bless us. May his face smile with favor on us. May your ways be known throughout the earth, your saving power among people everywhere.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I love to provide for you. I want to bless you abundantly, so that you and others will know me. I want you to trust me, regardless of the blessings, knowing my love and character and power are trustworthy and reliable. I want you to praise me for who I am, not for what I provide. May salvation come to all people. Sing songs of praise and share with others who I am and what I’ve done. Show them—love them—and bless them.

Praise me while you wait for the harvest. Praise me when it arrives. And praise me when it doesn’t. I don’t change and I know what you need. Look for those who have lost hope. Teach them about me and if they dismiss you, continue to love and encourage them. Let them see your joy whether or not you receive blessings. Let them know of your hope. Show them my love by how you welcome them and care for them.

NEXT STEP
Pray for God’s blessing in your life. Ask someone else how you can pray for God’s blessing in their life, too. And pray you both would be blessings in the world.
