BIG IDEABring your anger to God and allow him to deal with those who hurt you and others.

KEY VERSEPsalm 58:6
Break off their fangs, O God! Smash the jaws of these lions, O Lord!

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Human emotions are powerful. They can prompt you to defend the defenseless or urge you to act out on your anger. Emotions can be used for good and for evil. Bring your emotions to me. Let me sift through them so they will be used only for good. Because of that, don’t seek justice on your own. Don’t pursue it apart from me. Don’t judge others when you can’t know everything about them. Certainly judgments must be made, but be quick to come to me. Allow me to discipline those who need it. Allow me to right the wrongs.

I understand anger, and I understand yours. I recognize your desire to judge those who have hurt you or others. Trust me to respond. Trust me for the timing. Trust me for how discipline is dispensed. When you do, you will see that everything was done correctly and within the proper timeframe. But you may have to wait for resolution. That’s where your faith comes in. So bring everything to me, but trust me and wait on me.

NEXT STEP
Be angered by sin but leave justice and judgment to God. Instead of seeking revenge, give your anger and frustration to God. Pray for God to take control of the situation.
