KEY VERSEPsalm 48:14
For that is what God is like. He is our God forever and ever, and he will guide us until we die.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I do love your praise. I know who I am and don’t need your praise, but I want it and enjoy it. It gives me a picture of your soul. It reveals the condition of your heart and mind. So while praise pleases me, it gives you life, too. It gets your eyes off of yourself and your surroundings and puts them on me. I am the one who deserves your time and attention and the more you give me, the healthier and wiser you will be.

So sing and shout but don’t be mindless. You have much to thank me for. I have given you victory. I have made you secure. I have made you glad. Take time to meditate—think deeply—on who I am, on what I’ve done, and on my unfailing love. Create songs and tokens to display what I’ve done so the next generation can learn and understand I want to also be their God for ever and ever. I want to guide you and them for your entire lives…and for eternity.

NEXT STEP
Thank God for who he is. Remind yourself and others regularly. But take a moment to write a journal entry, or song lyric, or poem. Draw a picture or craft an item that you can keep or hang up for others to learn about who God is.
