KEY VERSEPsalm 40:5 (David’s prayer)
O Lord my God, you have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I love when you are patient. I enjoy times when you sit still and listen. I’m aware that most don’t like when I’m patient. You live in an instant-gratification society and want me to respond immediately. But I don’t for a reason. Primarily because I love you. But also because you are one part of my master plan. Don’t waste your time telling me how to run my universe. Talk to me. Cry out to me. I am here and I’m listening. But pause and hear from me. I want you to trust me. You will be blessed.

There is so much I have done and am doing. Don’t miss it. Intellectually you know none compares with me. Yet you hunger for and strive for things that are either unattainable or unhealthy. The good news is I’m not going anywhere and I am all you need. Sit with me today—despite your busy schedule you can hear from me. Look for me and listen for my instruction. Be patient for I am speaking.

NEXT STEP
No matter what is happening, take time to worship God today. Don’t be afraid to schedule praise breaks. It’s easy to say you’ll find time to pray only to discover you never once paused in your busy day. Listen for God’s voice now. What time today will you listen next?
