SUMMARY: Deliver me
OVERVIEW: David seeks deliverance from the traps his enemies have set, from his distress, and from his anguish.
BIG IDEA: The Lord protects those who cling to him.
KEY VERSE: Psalm 31:24 (David’s encouragement)
So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord!
IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
You will find safety in me. Stop wandering. Don’t look for fulfillment in things that are temporary. You can enjoy material goods for a season, but they don’t last. Nothing will give you what you really want except for me. I am your refuge and shelter. I am the one you can cling to in all seasons of life. Turn to me now. I receive you and will never discard you or make your welcome contingent on your performance. You already deal with those kinds of relationships. My invitation is different.
Ignore the whispers of the enemy. So many believe his lies that they become truth. But they are not. I am truth. The enemy lies, hoping to persuade you to enjoy what he offers. But his gifts only look good on the outside. They have no substance. In fact, they are traps. I am all that you need. I am your refuge and offer you hope. The more you get to know the enemy the more deceit you will find. The more you get to know me the more you will discover my love and grace.
