KEY VERSEPsalm 28:6 (David’s thanks)
Praise the Lord! For he has heard my cry for mercy.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Yes, I am your rock. And, yes, I hear your cry for mercy. You think you are desperate and vulnerable when you call on me in times of trouble. You’re not. That’s when you’re the most powerful. I am strong and mighty and always available, so don’t wait to call on me. Don’t try to first handle things on your own. That’s unwise. Be wise and call on me right away. Call now!

When others tear you down or mock your faith in me, reply with love. Respond with care. Be a listener. Your loving response will likely frustrate them, but it allows me to work in their lives. Focus on giving me your time and attention. I love your praise so offer it regularly. You don’t have to ask me to be with you. I am. You don’t have to ask me to lead you, either. I am always leading. What you need is to stop resisting and to instead follow me. Invite me to give you courage and strength to follow me—I love doing that.

NEXT STEP
Do you believe God hears you when you speak to him? If so, take time to thank God for his care. Have some doubt about God’s reply? Ask him to reveal himself in a clear way.
