Psalm 148

Psalm 148:1-14

SUMMARYAll inclusive

OVERVIEWAll of creation is invited to praise God.

BIG IDEANothing and no one is exempt from praising God, for he alone is exalted!

KEY VERSEPsalm 148:13
Let them all praise the name of the Lord. For his name is very great; his glory towers over the earth and heaven!

All that I have created will praise me. From the highest heavens to the oceans’ depths, all will give me praise. All will reflect on who I am and what I have done, and they will respond with praise. They will know I created them and sustained them and provided all they ever needed. They will recognize that I alone am worthy of that praise.

Exercise your praise muscle today. Warm it up and get it in shape. Reflect on who I am. Review what I have done in your life. Acknowledge that I have done more than you are even aware. Recognize that your hope in the future is based on my character and that it is secure. Sing out to me. Express your praise in words, song, dance, laughter, or any other means. Go public with your feelings. Share with others what you know is true about me. Help them gain a greater understanding of who I am and give them reasons to exercise their own praise muscles.

Praising God is more than thanking him prayerfully. It literally means sharing publicly something God has done. Do that today—praise God by telling someone something you love about God and share why.
