BIG IDEAGod knows all, so listen and obey.

KEY VERSEPsalm 139:1
O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I want the truths that David wrote in this psalm to encourage and comfort you. I want you to rest in the knowledge that I am with you. I want you to be comforted that I know where you go. I want you to feel responsible because I know what you do. I want you to feel empowered by the fact that I made you and have a plan for you. I want you to be mindful of the fact that I know your thoughts and for that to motivate you to discipline your mind. And I want you to feel relieved that I know your heart and your desires. You don’t have to carry any burdens or hide anything, for I am with you and I am for you.

Do not make excuses for your thoughts or words or actions. Own your part and confess anything that is unhealthy. But do not run from me or attempt to hide, for that is a futile endeavor—a waste of time. I pursue you because I love you. Let me provide for you. Come to me and let me guide you.

NEXT STEP
Set aside five minutes today where you can be still. Ask God to search you. Listen and offer any appropriate response. Thank God for his knowledge and rest in his presence.
