Psalm 130

Psalm 130:1-8

SUMMARYWait

OVERVIEWWe have hope in God because of his amazing forgiveness.

BIG IDEAGod always delivers. Choose to wait on him.

KEY VERSEPsalm 130:5
I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
You never suffer alone. You may withhold your feelings or the depth of your despair from those with whom you live or work, but nothing is hidden from me. I hear your cry for mercy. I recognize your desire to know more or to understand why you are experiencing all that you are. Keep trusting me. I am at work in your life. I am with you and will never leave you. I am going to strengthen you and equip you to respond in love with power. But you have to wait for me.

You have trusted me with your sin. I keep no record of sin. When you confess it and ask for forgiveness, you are free. I want you to trust me with your pain. I want you to trust me with your questions. I will not let you down. I never have. Read my word. Let my words fill you with hope and encouragement. And as you wait, remember you are not alone. I am with you.

NEXT STEP
Put your trust in God. Thank God for his forgiveness, and thank him for his provision. Talk to God and friends if you are in a difficult season as you wait on God to act or give wisdom. But keep trusting God—share that commitment with him.
