KEY VERSEPsalm 13:5–6
But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I want you to sing to me. It’s easy to sing when things go well. It’s natural and flows freely. It’s a fun, upbeat song that you deliver with energy. But I want you to sing when you feel stuck, when you’re confused, and even when you’re angry. The song doesn’t have to be happy. I don’t want you to fake it. Always speak (or sing) from the heart. And if your heart hurts, your song should reflect that. But do add a hint of hope.

Add that hope because I am with you. Add that hope because I will never leave you. I didn’t promise you a perfect life, just one where you’d never be alone. I do see you and I do hear you. And I’m often angered by what you experience. But I am still in control. Sing a song with hope. Sing with expectation. Sing because I am with you amidst your pain. Always.

NEXT STEP
Make a list of current doubts and fears. Also make a list of ways you’ve seen God’s faithfulness. Pray over the doubts and fears by reviewing the ways God has been faithful in the past.
