O Lord, what a variety of things you have made! In wisdom you have made them all. The earth is full of your creatures.
IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I want you to notice the natural world. Watch how the waters flow down a mountain into the valleys. Follow the stream that leads into a river. See how the trees are well watered. Note how the birds make their nests in the trees. Observe the rising of the sun and then its setting. I bring night and then other animals prowl for food. All creatures look to me to give them food at the proper time.
If I take care of the plants and animal, imagine how I will take care of you. I know what you need and I am aware of what you desire. Put your hope in me. Stop working day and night and find time to stop and rest. Set aside time to be still and enjoy me and my creation. Remember who I am and how I provide, over and over again. Rest today and sing to me. Bring me praise from a grateful soul.
