KEY VERSEObadiah 4 (God to the Edomites)
“But even if you soar as high as eagles and build your nest among the stars, I will bring you crashing down,” says the Lord.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I love you, but don’t take my love for granted. Don’t look the other way when problems arise, claiming it’s not your responsibility. Don’t allow others to suffer, boasting they should have listened to you previously. You are not God, and you can’t solve every problem. And others will have consequences for their actions. But don’t dismiss them so quickly. You are your brother’s keeper. And even if I ask you to sit back and withhold your help, I want you to mourn and weep. Do not celebrate over another’s defeat.

There will be times I nudge you to get involved. Do so with love and honor. Don’t have an arrogant attitude, and don’t help if you’re going to expect others to reciprocate. Do the right thing because I‘ve asked. Guard your heart. I want it to stay soft and pliable. Healthy hearts can bring joy and hope to others. If you harden your heart and become proud and arrogant, I will bring you down. Instead, walk with me. Follow me. Let me lead you.

NEXT STEP
Evaluate yourself in two ways. Are you angry or bitter for the way because someone has mistreated you? Ask God to give you strength and wisdom and talk with the person responsible for it. Also, are you guilty of pride and arrogance? Ask God to search your heart and confess any sin to God and to the person you may have hurt.
