Numbers 18

Numbers 18:1-32

SUMMARYGifts

OVERVIEWResponsibilities and support for the priests and the Levites are delineated.

BIG IDEAGod cares for his people: he gives us purpose (v. 7-8), he gives us quality gifts (v. 12), and he gives us himself (v. 20).

KEY VERSENumbers 18:20 (God to Aaron)
And the Lord said to Aaron, “You priests will receive no allotment of land or share of property among the people of Israel. I am your share and your allotment.”

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I am all you will ever need. Seek me and my will, and you will have a full, joy-filled life. You will have peace, laughter, and faith, even amidst troubling times. It may not be the life others strive for or one you originally envisioned, but in the end—if you trust me and follow me—it will be more than you could have asked for or imagined. If you want adventure and a life that others aspire for, follow me.

I am going to bless you. Some will be material blessings, and others will be talents and abilities. Share all that you receive. Your gifts are to be a blessing. Don’t hoard them. Don’t put some aside as security. I am your security. Share your gifts with others and watch me replenish them. I will give you quality gifts, but develop them and invest them. Use them for my glory and watch me multiply them as I watch over you and all my children.

NEXT STEP
Thank God today. Thank God for his investment in your life. Thank him for all he has given, and in all the ways he has protected you—those you know of and for those you are unaware. Thank God privately in prayer and look for an opportunity today to tell someone about God’s faithfulness.
