SUMMARY: God’s view
OVERVIEW: Moses sent spies into the land. Ten of the spies saw giants and were scared. Caleb saw the same things, but he knew God would provide.
BIG IDEA: God is bigger than any problem or fear.
KEY VERSE: Numbers 13:30 (Caleb to Moses)
But Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses. “Let’s go at once to take the land,” he said. “We can certainly conquer it!”
IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
You will have numerous opportunities to express faith or fear in life. Logically, it would be reasonable to be fearful in some of life’s situations, except that I am with you. Don’t allow anyone or anything to intimidate you without remembering that I go before you. Don’t be surprised by those who doubt. Some hesitation will come from those closest to you. Listen to and respect what they say, but ultimately put your faith in me.
Be disciplined to listen for my voice. I will be speaking, but don’t just hear what you want to hear. Be still, take your time, check consistency with my Bible, and review with trusted friends. I will give you peace, creativity, energy, and a hunger to accomplish great things. With me, you can overcome anyone or anything. If I am leading you to do something, you will have victory. Your biggest challenge may be your first step of faith. Keep your eyes on me and take that step.
NEXT STEP
Don’t look at the size of your problem. Look at the size of your God. Get God’s view on the situation. Listen to him and review with others you trust what you hear. Be prepared to say “yes” even if it’s out of your comfort zone.
