KEY VERSENumbers 10:34–36 (Moses’ prayer)
As they moved on each day, the cloud of the Lord hovered over them. And whenever the Ark set out, Moses would shout, “Arise, O Lord, and let your enemies be scattered! Let them flee before you!” And when the Ark was set down, he would say, “Return, O Lord, to the countless thousands of Israel!”

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I want you to lead others but do so as an experienced follower. Follow me—first—and then lead others. Do not go before me. Follow me. Wait on me for I will provide. Too many people focus on becoming a leader. Leadership has value and is important, but not at the expense of being a first-rate follower. The best leaders listen to me and follow me—first. I want you to do the same. Following me will not always be easy. It will require you to listen, to be still, to be humble. But the more you listen, the more you will hear. Follow me.

Remember, you are not alone. Not only am I with you, but I will provide friends and family—teammates—to help on the journey. Look to these teammates for support and guidance. And look at them with gratitude. You may not get along with everyone, but each person has a role to play. Identify their gift and have them utilize it. Follow me as teammates.
