KEY VERSELuke 5:5–6 (Simon Peter obeys Jesus)
“Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear!

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I want our relationship to be so strong that you’re willing to drop what you are doing and follow me. I want your trust to grow to such a level that it’s no longer requires a step of faith for you to obey me. Not only do I want you to grow in the knowledge of my power and authority, but I want you to know and experience my love. Will you let me lead you in the big things, like your values and life’s priorities? What about the small things, like your habits, feelings, and words? Everything matters, and I want to mold and shape it all.

I’m not calling you to a religion or a clique or a culture. I’m inviting you to follow me, even when my ways defy logic or convention or the latest trends. Let me blow your mind with a new way of thinking. Let me awaken your soul with my transformative power. Let me chisel your body into shape with opportunities to serve and impact others. Stop pretending that you’re in control. Throw your arms up in surrender and live the life you’ve always wanted.

NEXT STEP
Think of a time when God did something in your life or in someone you know, that defied human logic. How does this memory impact the way you feel about where God is leading you today? Take time to appreciate the miracle of who Jesus is and your relationship with him.
