KEY VERSELuke 2:10–11 (angel to the shepherds)
…but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!”

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Do you see my glory blazing around you? They are flames of good news. I am here to save. You and others are stuck and hurting and lost, but I am here to save. My presence is disruptive to the mundane and ordinary because I am always doing extraordinary things. Let me disrupt your stagnation, your chaos, your emptiness, your routine to nowhere. I want to protect you from a wasted life. Whether you are rich or poor, known or unknown, lonely or loved, I have good news: I am here, and I save.

Something powerful happens when you worship me. Love me; trust me. Breathe me in and out. Let me turn you into an example of what I am like so others can see me in you. Celebrate my saving power in your life. Let yourself smile, knowing that you will never be separated from me in this world or the next. Let yourself rest, knowing I love you. I forgive you. I accept you. I move you forward. I lead you to those who need to know me as you know me. I am here to save, and this is good news for all.

NEXT STEP
Take time to humble yourself. Recognize your need for a savior. Think about who Jesus is and all that he has come to accomplish, and thank him for those things.
