KEY VERSELeviticus 7:37-38 (God to Moses)
These are the instructions for the burnt offering, the grain offering, the sin offering, and the guilt offering, as well as the ordination offering and the peace offering. The Lord gave these instructions to Moses on Mount Sinai when he commanded the Israelites to present their offerings to the Lord in the wilderness of Sinai.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
If you truly understood my holiness, you would be in awe and live in fear—a healthy fear. I provided detailed instructions for sacrifices to protect worshippers from themselves. Most do not recognize how holy I am. You can approach me, and I want you to, but remember I am a holy God, worthy of praise. My sacrificial system was an invitation and a means for my people to live with hope and peace. But now, in Christ, you have so much more.

Just as I want you to recognize my holiness, it’s essential to understand my love and grace, too. I made you, I love you, and I’ve forgiven you. Follow me as I lead you today. Listen for my voice. Pay attention to my nudge to act or speak or to remain still. Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice, and you have my love and grace and power. But continue to offer yourself to me as an act of worship. I love your praise, and your obedience shows me your love and affection.

NEXT STEP
Take time to be silent before God for at least two minutes today. (Set a timer. If practicing silence is new to you, it may seem like a long time. Be patient.) Ask God to remind you of his power and all he has done for you. Listen in silence and conclude by praying with thanks for God’s love, mercy, forgiveness, and anything else you are thankful for.
