SUMMARY: Restoration
OVERVIEW: Besides making things right with God, we are to make amends with anyone we sinned against or offended. God gives further instructions for several types of offerings: guilt, burnt, grain, ordination, and sin.
BIG IDEA: Relationships matter, both with God and others.

If you have sinned in any of these ways, you are guilty. You must give back whatever you stole, or the money you took by extortion, or the security deposit, or the lost property you found…
IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I know it’s tempting to let things go, to look the other way, to ignore your sin, or sweep things under the rug. Don’t do it. Own your sin and respond quickly and appropriately. I can and will forgive you, but you must take the first step. Come to me and confess. Acknowledge what you’ve done, and I will forgive you. I love to forgive, but come to me and do it promptly. Time matters. Respond when your heart is soft.
But don’t stop there. Confess to those you’ve hurt as well. Lies and deception build walls between people. Topple those walls and restore any hurt or scarred relationships. Relationships matter more than you know. Nurture them. Care for them. Feed them what is healthy, and they will bear fruit for generations. Don’t allow pride to talk you out of doing what is right. Follow me as I lead you. I will give you the strength and courage. Take your first step now. I am with you.
