SUMMARYLife-giving

KEY VERSELeviticus 17:11 (God to Moses)
…for the life of the body is in its blood. I have given you the blood on the altar to purify you, making you right with the Lord. It is the blood, given in exchange for a life, that makes purification possible.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
You will find life and power in blood. The blood that flows through your veins gives you physical life, and Jesus’ blood gives you eternal life. Every person you see today has physical life, but Jesus came that they might have an abundant eternal life, too. Be prayerful today. As you interact with people or walk by them, silently pray that they would know Jesus. If you know they already believe, pray their faith would be powerful and real to them—that it would be living and active.

I did not want Israel to eat the animals’ blood because the pagan cultures around them believed that act would transfer the power of the animal to them. As my child, I want you to rely on me and my strength—not on other power sources that call to you. When you participate in the Lord’s Supper, you are identifying with Jesus. I do want you merely to display Jesus’ characteristics. I want others to see Jesus through your life.

NEXT STEP
Thank Jesus for his sacrifice, and pray that your life will exhibit Jesus today. Look for opportunities where the Holy Spirit is nudging you to act and step out in faith, praying Jesus would shine through you.
