Leviticus 10

Leviticus 10:1-20

SUMMARYWhich way?

OVERVIEWEvery temptation is a choice to do things God’s way or our way. Nadab and Abihu did things their way, and God disciplined them for it. Moses instructs Aaron and his sons about eating their portions of the sacrifices.

BIG IDEAGod’s instructions are wise and right, even if we don’t understand them.

KEY VERSE: Leviticus 10:3 (Moses to Aaron)
Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord meant when he said, ‘I will display my holiness through those who come near me. I will display my glory before all the people.’ ” And Aaron was silent.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. If you want to go the right way, follow Jesus. If you want to understand the truth, follow Jesus. If you want to experience life, follow Jesus. He is the beginning and the end. Don’t look elsewhere or for anything else to satisfy you. Be consumed with following Jesus and let him manifest himself in you. I want people to say you look different because of how alive Christ is in you. I find great satisfaction in your faithfulness.

Don’t be deceived by shortcuts. Don’t give in to the temptation of going through the motions in ministry. No one wins with that attitude. When you are tired, get some rest. But when you are serving, seek me and ask me for strength. I will provide all you need, and you will see fruit in your ministry and have more energy than you thought possible. Seek me and show those around you the joy of a Jesus-filled life.

NEXT STEP
Be faithful in what God is calling you to do today. Whatever it is, do it with your whole heart and complete the task. Don’t do anything halfheartedly or leave anything half done. Honor God by focusing on doing your jobs well today.
