KEY VERSEJohn 12:27 (Jesus to Andrew and Philip)
Now my soul is deeply troubled. Should I pray, “Father, save me from this hour”? But this is the very reason I came!

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
It’s easy to believe when things go your way. Obedience is fun when little sacrifice is required. But faith is staying committed through the tough choices, the hardships, and—yes—even the pain. When the miracle you have been praying for hasn’t appeared, follow anyway. When the path I’m leading you down seems overwhelming, follow anyway. In my power, you will make it. This is the journey of faith. It’s one of joy and sorrow at times, but it’s one where I am with you always.

There will be many times when it appears life is out of control, that things are not happening as they should. Remember that I am in control of all. Trust me and follow me even when things don’t make sense. Life’s circumstances will change, but I and my word will never change. I will give you everything you need. Trust me. Follow me. Don’t wait for tomorrow. I know what you’re going through. Trust me and follow me right now.

NEXT STEP
If you look, you can find some good in every struggle, challenge, and sacrifice that you experience as you pursue God’s purpose for your life. Think of a painful struggle or sacrifice you’ve endured since you decided to follow Jesus. How can you use this experience to encourage someone else today?
