SUMMARYMore questions

OVERVIEWGod’s questions for Job continue.

BIG IDEAGod is bigger and more powerful than we can imagine.

KEY VERSEJob 39:19–20 (God to Job)
Do you give the horse its strength or clothe its neck with a flowing mane? Do you make it leap like a locust, striking terror with its proud snorting?

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
You are busy and sometimes feel overwhelmed and out of control. I know, because I am with you. And that is true for each person on the planet. I am over all things and with all people. Think about all the things you don’t monitor. Are you regulating your heartbeat? I am. Do you track your blood flow? I do. Are you aware of the messages the neurons transmit in your brain? I am. I control the weather patterns and ensure the correct amount of oxygen is in the air. I do this all the time without fail—while knowing you and loving you.

I am God and Lord of all. You may not know all the answers, but you can know me, the one who does. Bring your questions and concerns to me, and let me relieve you of the burden of having to know everything. I already do. Stop worrying and trying to control everything. I’m in control, and I’m quite good at it. Rest and enjoy all I have for you today.

NEXT STEP
Instead of questioning God, rest in God. The next time you have a question that plagues you, don’t ignore it. First, take a moment to acknowledge God’s greatness and then thank him for knowing all and being in control.
