KEY VERSEJob 22:22 (Eliphaz to Job)
Listen to his instructions, and store them in your heart.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Let’s face facts: apart from me, you are lost in your sin. Apart from my love and forgiveness, you would be endlessly searching for peace, for any means to help you eradicate your guilt. And in the process, you would unknowingly be accumulating more and more barriers to my love. But the good news is you do not have to live that way. You are free in Christ. I have cast your sin as far away as the east is from the west. Stop worrying and start worshipping. You are free!

Your biggest battle now is who you will believe. Will you trust me and rest in the truth of what Jesus has done, or will you listen to the lies of the enemy? The enemy will get others involved in his schemes, too. He may even use people in your church who don’t understand grace to remind you of your past and require you to work hard to gain my love and forgiveness. Don’t listen to them. But remind them I offer my love and forgiveness to them, as well.

NEXT STEP
Reflect on a recently confessed sin and thank God for his forgiveness. Thank him that his forgiveness is forever.
