KEY VERSEIsaiah 46:4 (God to Israel)
I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.

I want you to worship me and follow me. One of many reasons is to protect you from the false gods in the world and to keep you from wasting your time. The gods you see are manufactured, carefully sculpted, crafted, or developed to serve you and your needs. Some have been around since Satan’s rebellion, while others are being created today. But all of them boast of their ability to provide for you and comfort you, and all of them are lying. They are nothing but good luck charms that tease and lure you into believing they have the power to serve you.

I have carried you since you were born, and I will sustain you and rescue you to your old age and beyond. I am God, and there is no other. There is none like me. Some pay a great amount for the privilege to bow before a false god. I have paid a great price to invite you to follow me and have a life of purpose and meaning.

As you go through your day today, identify the false gods that people worship or the ones seeking your allegiance. Each time, pray against the enemy’s power in the world and praise God for being the one, true God all can trust and rely upon.
