SUMMARY: Comfort
OVERVIEW: Isaiah’s prophetic words bring comfort to the exiles in Babylon that God is greater than their enemies and that he would provide for them.
BIG IDEA: God doesn’t grow tired or weary, and he strengthens all who need it.
KEY VERSE: Isaiah 40:28 (God to people)
Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I will carry you when you are weak. I will strengthen you so you can soar on wings like eagles. There’s no need to wonder if I will help you. I am all that you need. When you are confused or lost, or uncertain, turn to me. I have all knowledge, and I want to equip you to do more than making it day-to-day. I want you to thrive. I want you to wake up with purpose and a plan to love and serve others.
I have no equal. Stop looking for solutions outside of my instruction. People will fail you. Ideas come and go, but my word is timeless. It will endure forever. Be a voice of hope to those who no longer dream. Tell them about me. Tell them I will bring judgment on the wicked and that I offer freedom to all who turn to me. Like a good shepherd, I will gather my flock and carry them close to my heart.
