BIG IDEAHonor God with your life, not just your lips.

KEY VERSEIsaiah 29:13 (God to Isaiah)
And so the Lord says, “These people say they are mine. They honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. And their worship of me is nothing but man-made rules learned by rote.”

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I will never leave you. No matter what you’re going through, you are not outside of my care or concern. I know when you feel trapped. I know when you are convinced there is no solution or any way out. Continue to trust me in those moments. Keep calling on me. But take time to listen. Wait for me to deliver. Don’t go through the motions with your faith. Don’t say and do the right things trying to portray confidence in me when you plan to solve the problem on your own. I’d rather you be honest. Let others rally around you to remind you of the same things I want you to remember.

The day is coming when I will defeat all your enemies and tame all your vices. The day is coming when you and others will be in awe of my power and work in the world. But don’t wait for that day. Expect a miracle today. Be wide-eyed and ready to see my work in your life and those around you.

NEXT STEP
Sit down with a friend and assess your level of trust in God today. Ask for prayer if you are struggling, or celebrate the victories if you are encouraged.
