KEY VERSEHebrews 3:12-13 (a reminder to encourage one another)
Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I want you to listen for my voice. I want you to see my work around you. I want you to pay attention to what’s happening around you. I am active, and I am calling you to follow me. You are more receptive when your head is up, and your ears are tuned in. You are more responsive when you go about your day with an expectation that I will speak. Continue to practice the art and skill of paying attention.

But don’t go it alone. Not only will you be sharper when you team with others, but you will also help other Jesus followers grow and fine-tune their listening skills. This is part of the disciple-making process. Teach one another how to listen and how to obey. And teach them to confess—to be real with you and with me. Hard hearts have never helped anyone. People always regret their poor choices, so chip away any wall that may be forming between us or between your friends and me.

NEXT STEP
Commit with a friend to encourage one another in the faith regularly. Set a time to meet—in person or over the phone—to pray together and encourage one another with words from the Bible.
