KEY VERSEHabakkuk 1:5 (God to Habakkuk)
The Lord replied, “Look around at the nations; look and be amazed! For I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn’t believe even if someone told you about it.”

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I do hear you when you cry out. I hear every prayer, every concern, and know each of your thoughts. Nothing gets overlooked. I even know your heart before you verbalize your prayer. So be comforted in the fact that you are not alone and never forgotten. My heart breaks for what breaks yours. And I hope that your heart would also break for what breaks mine. You may be shocked and horrified by the evil and cruelty in the world, but my anger is more considerable. My sense of loss is more profound. But my hope is greater still.

I am going to do something in your day that you would not believe. Hollywood could never write a script like mine. I have never stopped being in control. I allow evil to play a role in the world—it’s part of free will—but I provide a solution in the end. Look to me today, and trust me forever. I am at work, and I will never forget you.

NEXT STEP
Don’t be afraid to ask God tough questions, but take time to listen. Trust God, even if the answer is different from what you expected or hoped. Talk to God now. And listen.
