BIG IDEAGod’s blessing is sweeter than a stolen one.

KEY VERSE: Genesis 27:41 (A caution for us)
From that time on, Esau hated Jacob because their father had given Jacob the blessing. And Esau began to scheme: “I will soon be mourning my father’s death. Then I will kill my brother, Jacob.”

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Selfishness leads to division and gives birth to bitterness. Do not pursue dreams or goals outside of my will for your life. Do not think you’re doing me a favor by taking things into your own hands. I created the world, I made you, and I can work all things together for good. You don’t get to determine what is right. I do that. My work in your life is just one part of my plan. Be patient and wait on me. I will fulfill my promise at the right time and in a way that blesses you and others.

Give your goals and dreams to me. Allow me to orchestrate the next steps. But don’t run ahead. Continue to wait. Doors will open at the right time. Don’t try to knock them down. I want you to work hard, pray faithfully, and honor me with your life. I will bless you and others that I want to bless. Be patient. You trusted me for your eternal life. Trust me for this life, too.
