BIG IDEALooks can be deceptive.

KEY VERSE: Genesis 13:14-15 (The Lord casts vision)
After Lot had gone, the Lord said to Abram, “Look as far as you can see in every direction—north and south, east and west. I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession.”

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I love providing visuals that reveal my presence and power, but you will have to walk by faith most of the time. I want you to follow me, regardless of what you see—or don’t see. I will always be with you, so listen for my voice. Don’t automatically go to greener pastures. I may be leading you there, but they may also be a test or temptation. Stop and seek me in all things. I will guide you.

Don’t be afraid to ask those you trust, the ones who know me and love me. Ask them to pray. Ask them to seek my will. Talk with them and wrestle together to hear my voice. Don’t assume you should go a certain way because everything is lined up as you imagined. Sometimes it will, and sometimes it won’t. Instead, wait for me. Seek me. Cry out to me. And listen.

NEXT STEP
Before impulsively making a decision, stop and pray. Choose to delay your response until you’ve had time to pray and get insight from others who you trust. Be still before God and listen.
