BIG IDEAPride comes before the fall.

KEY VERSEGenesis 11:4  (People of Babel to one another)
Then they said, “Come, let’s build a great city for ourselves with a tower that reaches into the sky. This will make us famous and keep us from being scattered all over the world.”

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
You seek greatness and have a desire to be known by many. Use that energy and passion to focus on me. Watch what I can do through you as you seek to glorify my name instead of your own. Being known by many won’t fulfill you, but remembering that I know you and love you will bring everlasting peace. Don’t believe me? Take that step of faith, and you will be glad you did.

There is much confusion in the world. Knowing me and my Word will bring stability to your life. It will reverse the uncertainty. Take the opportunities you have to reflect on what I’ve taught you. When you are anxious, read a Bible verse. Better yet, sit with the verse. Think about it as you walk or drive. Pray it back to me if you feel stressed. Focus on me, regardless of what’s going on around you.

NEXT STEP
Strive to build a name for God and not yourself. Instead of talking about the great things you’ve done, let others speak. When it’s your turn to talk, share something God is doing in your life or teaching you. Or identify something positive in another.
