BIG IDEAThe gospel is a treasure to be received and enjoyed.

KEY VERSEGalatians 1:9 (Paul’s passion for protecting the true gospel)
I say again what we have said before: If anyone preaches any other Good News than the one you welcomed, let that person be cursed.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
My gospel is a gift to the world. Receive it freely. Embrace it and enjoy it. Don’t try to work for it. It’s not a wage you can earn, and, truthfully, you couldn’t pay for it if you tried. It is free, and that’s why it’s good news. Be thankful. Sing praises. Celebrate. Dance. When you embrace the gospel, those types of responses will be easy and natural. I want you to breathe in and out in perfect peace and with great joy.

Don’t be like those whose ears tingle at new offers for peace and prosperity. They aren’t new. They are the same lies that have been perpetuated throughout history. They are dressed up, renamed, and marketed to new audiences on a regular basis. They promise freedom but come with chains. They offer free samples that are enjoyable, but the pleasure won’t last, nor will the offer. Free becomes enslavement in the blink of an eye. Turn from the lies and follow me. My gospel is free and lasts for eternity.

NEXT STEP
Thank God for the gospel, and take time to reflect on God’s good news. Throughout the day, think about ways your life is different because of the gospel. How do you live, think, or speak differently because of it?
